What To Do: "View of Ghost Pine Creek", Excellent hiking opportunities exist - from a casual stroll on the valley floor to a strenuous climb along canyon walls. There are miles of cattle and deer trails throughout the property. Terrain varies from cool mountain forest to prairie grassland, including two bubbling creeks and of course the striking badlands. Your dog will love to sniff the exciting smells along the way. |

Excellent hiking opportunities exist - from a casual stroll on the valley floor to a strenuous climb along canyon walls. There are miles of cattle and deer trails throughout the property. Terrain varies from cool mountain forest to prairie grassland, including two bubbling creeks and of course the striking badlands. Your dog will love to sniff the exciting smells along the way. The beautiful scenery provides plenty of photo and artistic potential. Experience a wide variety of wildlife. One may see deer, coyote, fox, squirrel, gopher and beaver. Birdlife varies from bluebird to golden eagle, including owl and Canada goose. You will probably come across some cattle, too! The Drumheller area is known for dinosaur bones and fossils, Ghost Pine Creek is no exception. Indian artifacts have also been identified. Please note, fossils cannot be collected and must remain for others to enjoy. Guided tours of a fossil bed are available. |
