Once there, you really feel like you are in the wilderness - hence the name I suspect. The cabins are all conveniently located in a big horseshoe around the main lodge. It's just a very short walk to the lodge where all the meals are served. My cabin was very roomy and clean, without any annoying phone or TV to ruin the real cowboy experience. I went on some trail rides which were quite beautiful. One ride took us high above a large, nearby lake. When I got back from one of my rides, I jumped into the swimming pool which was extremely refreshing, and a nice addition to any ranch during the hot summer days. The meals were excellent and served-up buffet style. Everyone who worked there was very nice and I really enjoyed my stay. I think what makes this ranch stand out to me was the perfect setting and the super staff! - Tell 'em Dusty Dave sent ya! |
