It is the mecca for hiking, mountain biking, jeep tours and the like. There are fabulous rock formations in every direction. The town itself is not all that exciting as far as lodging goes, so a great thing to do is to stay at Pack Creek. They are far enough from town to have some privacy and great mountain views, but close enough for convenience. They have a huge variety of cabins scattered around the grounds, complete with full kitchens so you can do all your own cooking if you choose.
