Located in a quiet little canyon full of ancient, Anasazi ruins (some buildings completely intact), it is the perfect place to see the stunning red rocks of southwestern Colorado.The main lodge and cabins are done in traditional adobe-style. We had the Deluxe Cabin which was great. It was very roomy with a kitchen and cozy fireplace. Breakfast is included and is delicious and hearty. There's tons of great hikes and things to check-out. Besides all the amazing archeological sites right there at Kelly Place, there are many other must-see sites in the surrounding area such as the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument and Mesa Verde. We visited Mesa Verde's Cliff Dwellings (about 45 minutes away) and loved it. Overall, we had a very peaceful and relaxing weekend. It was just what we were looking for. As an extra bonus...there's even a winery just a few miles up the road. - Tell 'em Dusty Dave sent ya!
