It has it all - first-class accommodations, food and facilities with a stunning mountain backdrop. It is an authentic old west town that has been converted into a relaxing, wilderness resort. Supposedly, the famous outlaws Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid used Dunton as a hiding spot. It is that remote. Luckily, they stayed long enough to carve their names into the wooden bar top, which is the same bar that you can belly-up to. Then, if that's not enough, throw in the fact that Dunton has their own hot springs. A fantastic indoor hot spring, an outdoor rock-pool hot spring, and an extra-hot hot spring in a teepee. If you're a hot spring junkie like me, you will be pinching yourself the entire time you are there. As far as a romantic destination, it can't be beat. What else can I say...I plan on going back as soon as I can - It's that good. - Tell 'em Dusty Dave sent ya! |
