Rustic doesn't mean you have to rough-it. Au contraire! Besides, the people at those snobby, overly ornate resorts can be down right annoying. Choose instead, to live like a king, sipping pina coladas on the deck of your thatched hut throne. There are tons of great, rustic-style resorts all over the world that focus on pampering without the pushy posh. I'm not talking about those hippy-chick kinds of places that you read about in the yoga magazines where you live on eight ounces of granola and half a banana a day, I'm talking about some real deluxe accommodations with fantastic food. Words like recharge, rejuvenate, reinvigorate, are commonplace in their brochures for a reason. The main thing is, you will feel a heck of a lot better when you leave than when you arrived, and that's what it's all about. From seaweed wraps (can you eat those) to deluxe mineral hot springs, this is a me, me, me type of vacation. |
