| Back to Nature - Going Deep into the Backcountry by Dusty Dave |

Go big or go home! If you're serious about backcountry adventure, then read on. If not, crawl back into your safe little hole and stay there. Yeah, I'm talking to you. I don't mean a log cabin on your neighbor's farm, I'm talking about the kind of trip where if you stray off a hiking trail (doubtful if there even is a trail), it might be weeks or months before somebody finds your body. The kind of trip where bears and mountain lions are your compadres, your pals, your buds. Of course not everyone is into these kind of trips, but for that special elite adrenaline junkie that is, these remote cabins and lodges are a safe haven from the cosmo-crazies. You know the ones I'm talking about. You might be one of those so I apologize in advance, but hiking on a trail, breathing in the fresh mountain air isn't quite the same when you have some annoying big city cry baby complaining because there's no caramel for their macchiato. Quick fix: hide a piece of raw meat in their backpack and wait for a mountain lion to solve your problem for you. The accommodations aren't usually all that fancy in these remote areas, although some are quite nice if you want to spend the big dough. Make sure your passport is current, call up some friends, and plan a backcountry bash! |
Howdy! Listed below are a few very nice places that I have picked out for your convenience. You are free to share all the information and photos in this press release with your readers. Just click on any image for a high-res version. Have a great day & Giddy-Up! Dusty Dave |
